Summary
Neyyatinkara Gopan comes to a village being a man who took some land on lease from Edathala Mathayi, one of the richest man in the village.Gopan comes as a man who helps Mathayi to save his land from the government. Gopan starts winning the villager’s hearts with his charm and Mathayi foresee his victory. But as time goes on, it appears that Gopan has some entirely different plan going on in his mind.
Review
Aaraattu is a movie that should be watched keeping your brains aside. This was already made clear by the makers and the actor as well. It is a movie made strictly for Mohanlal fans who can celebrate watching the star rule the bigscreen with his style and mannerisms.
Aaraattu is a movie where Mohanlal spoofs his own evergreen dialogues and movies with an ultra-stylish charm throughout. A special shoutout should be given to Rahul Raj for placing the thunderous BGM at the right places, taking the heroic acts of the lead to a next level.
What doesn’t work in the movie is the last 45 minutes that comes with literally lame back to back twists . This unnecessary approach drags the movie to mud. A movie that had been doing very good completely on Mohanlal’s shoulders suddenly falls face down and never gets up. Till then, it is something that could be rejoiced and celebrated.
Conclusion
If you are a Mohanlal fan, Aaraattu is a must watch. If not, avoid.
