Introduction
Anything delivered from Paramvah Studios will be a high-quality, minimum guaranteed product and this is again proved with ‘Avane Srimannarayana’. Being a movie of this genre, Avane Srimannarayana was indeed a challenge for the makers to pull it off, and hence it is commendable that they were successful in doing so.

The movie received positive acclaims from both the critics and the audiences. The stellar show of Narayana and others on-screen deserves a rating of 08/10.
Plot/Storyline
The story is set to happen in a fictional place called ‘Amaravati’. The tale starts as Ramarama, a man who leads the gang of Abhiras, kills a group of musicians for looting the hidden treasure of Amaravati. On his deathbed, Ramarama announces his second son Tukaram as his successor. Being angry about this decision made by Ramarama, his first son Jayaram cunningly takes charge of the leadership and announces that he will never sit on the throne until the lost treasure is found.
15 years later, the tale continues with the arrival of a corrupted cop Narayana. Lakshmi, a journalist, comes to report a missing case of a treasure hunter named Harishchandra to Narayana and the fuzz around the treasure again comes to the limelight.
Narayana arrests a couple of men assuming that they are the ones who kidnapped the treasure hunter but they turn out to be the bodyguards sent by Tukaram to guard the treasure hunter. Tukaram warns and sends back Narayana to find the treasure hunter and bring him back. After this, Narayana finds Harishchandra in a Van and goes on announcing publicly that he saved Harishchandra from the tight security of Jayaram’s fortress. Being pissed off, now Jayaram summons Narayana to his fort but Narayana escapes trickily from there.
As time goes by, the viewers get to understand that Narayana too is behind the treasure, and right from the kidnap of the treasure hunter, everything was planned by him. The story goes on as Narayana finds that the tribe of the killed Drama Artists is staying in a hideout waiting to play their last play and their belief in a holy prophecy that their ‘Hari’ will come to save them.
The cat and mouse game involving Narayana, Tukaram, Jayaram, and the Drama Artists go on revolving around the hidden treasure and on the trail to find it.
Performances and Technical Aspects
Just like his previous movies, Raksith Shetty assures the viewers a high-quality visual experience from Avane Srimannarayana. Performance-wise there is no need to review Rakshit’s acting caliber as he already has established himself as one of the finest actors in Kannada. Achyut had done a really good job playing the character of the constable side-kick of Narayana, delivering an excellent performance throughout the movie.
Rather than being cornered to a cliched role, Shanvi too is provided with a performance-oriented character and had delivered herself well as Lakshmi onscreen. Pramod Shetty who is always an integral part of Rakshit Shetty’s movies as always has delivered a stellar performance as Jayaram.
The music of Avane Srimannarayana is composed by Ajaneesh and Charan. Right from the movie’s soundtrack to the whole album, the music made its way to people’s hearts even before its release. The cinematography by Karm Chawla was exceptional as the viewers will be delivered with a stylish yet fresh feel throughout the movie.
Overall Verdict
Making a movie with an intriguing and brilliant screenplay is not a cakewalk and hence the whole team of Avane Srimannarayana deserves a pat on their back for making it to the top 5 grosser of Kannada. The movie may have a long run time but compared to the brilliant work put on the screenplay with top-notch performances, it is a highly recommended movie altogether.
