One Line Review: Fresh blood, Bobby’s new avatar, good production, and it didn’t disappoint.
Review
Finally, the Indian audience will see something apart from shitty cop film sequels which has nothing but CGI and Crappy humor (You know what I’m talking about).
Bobby Deol is tearing apart the stereotypes of Nepotism and talentless star kids syndrome. Plus this movie has an enormous number of newcomers in it, which is a good sign. 7/10 from my side.
Story/Plot
Vijay Singh (IPS Officer) chooses specially trained police officers out of training camps to create a team of encounter specialists who are authorized without any jurisdiction to wipe out the gang members of Mumbai. While the politicians are stopping him and his team by all means.
What’s to Like/DisLike
Casting ?
Let’s start with the acting and creative things first. Bobby Deol has it all. The IPS officer, the thirsty bloodhound, a good govt servant… everything. Also, the newcomers are fabulous. The casting team went absolutely crazy with their selection and it came out just perfect.
Story ?
The only thing which saddens me a bit is its story. It could’ve been better. There are moments that lacked the thrill and was supposed to be heart throbbing. But, it didn’t impact the movie on a greater level.
Direction ?
Oh, one more thing. Shout out to the director, who did a very good job bringing the 80s era back. No mistakes in that.
Farewell Words
Finally, Shahrukh Khan stepped in and did something which should be done more often; bringing fresh talent to the industry.
Shahrukh and Gauri Khan produced “Class of ’83” is a very cold, blunt, and going places movie. Make sure to add it to your list.
