One Line Review: Aashiqui was the birthplace of the modern-day romantic genre.
Introduction
Today Iβm blushing because we have a very romantic topic to talk about. On this day the romance legend βAashiquiβ got released for the first time and took the Bollywood industry by storm. Let start quickly and get down to business…
Iconic dialogues from this movie
βTumhara naam maine sirf apne jism par hi nahi … apne dil, apne dimag aur apni aatma par bhi gaad diya haiβ
English:
βNot only have I buried your name on my body … but also in my heart, in my mind and in my soulβ
βBahar ki duniya mein kadam rakhte hi tumko pata chal jayega … ki zindagi kis berehami se mushkilon ka samna karati haiβ
English:
βWhen you step in the world outside you will know … that how ruthlessly life makes you encounter with problemsβ
Iconic Song
Saanson Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise Zindagi Ke Liye
Saanson Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise Zindagi Ke Liye
Zindagi Ke Liye
Bas Ek Sanam Chaahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye
Jaam Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise
Jaam Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise Bekhudi Ke Liya
Haan Ek Sanam Chaahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye
Bas Ek Sanam Chaahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye
Waqt Ke Haathon Mein Sabki Takdeerein Hain
Waqt Ke Haathon Mein Sabki Takdeerein Hain
Aaina Jhootha Hai Sachee Tasveerein Hain
Jahan Dard Hai Vahin Geet Hai
Jahan Pyaas Hai Vahin Meet Hai
Koi Na Jaane Magar Jeene Ki Yahi Reet Hai
Saaz Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise
Saaz Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise Mausiki Ke Liye
Bas Ek Sanam Chaahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye
Manzilein Haasil Hain Phir Bhi Ek Doori Hai
Bina Humraahi Ke Zindagi Adhoori Hai
Milegi Kahin Koi Raahguzaar
Tanha Katega Kaise Ye Safar
Mere Sapne Ho Jahan
Dhoondhoon Main Aisi Nazar
Chaand Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise
Chaand Ki Zaroorat Hai Jaise Chaandni Ke Liye
Bas Ek Sanam Chaahiye Aashiqui Ke Liye
Saanson Ki Zaroorat β¦
Plot Summary
Rahul Roy is a freelance musician. He sings and plays instruments. In an event, he meets Anu who is very beautiful and innocent looking. He couldnβt help himself chasing her. After a bit of struggle, they go on a date and eventually fall in love but donβt know what the future has decided for them.
Simple Story and flawless music
The story is simple. Not Rocket Science. It portrays two young and innocent characters who capture their romance, strengths, and weaknesses in their fledgling relationship. While this movie is seen from 1990 until today, Bollywood movies cannot be compared to Aashiqui today. This film captures the romance of two innocent young men. Lovers … That’s why I gave him extra bonus points for this classic film. You can’t find good quality innocent romantic movies in this genderless generation. Though the movie has few flaws the music definitely makes up for the shortcomings in this film. It’s flawless. To this day there is no other music that is as elegant and timeless as the one in this film. The soundtrack made this film famous and a hit. He got extra points because of the soundtrack. It was ranked # 4 on Planet Bollywood’s Top 100 list for good reason – it’s well worth a listen.
The love story that started the modern era
Letβs get a bit frank here. Who do you consider the king of romance? IF you’re anything like me, then It must be Emran Hashmi. Right? He dominated in the romance genre. but where do you think that genre took a different turn?
From this movie. This movie is the birthplace of the modern romance film industry. Movies like Ashiq Banaya Apne, Jannat, Jannat 2, etc borrowed the legacy from Ashiqui. The legendary below the coat kissing scene under heavy rain is actually shot in this movie first, later it got used in the commercially successful sequel of this film; Ashiqui 2. I found that what really attracted me in the whole movie was the unforgettable, longing, and loving gaze of the couple towards each other. In a few scenes, they just looked at each other’s eyes, full of desire and tenderness. Anyone who has ever loved will feel their enthusiasm for themselves. Anu Aggarwal has these beautiful eyes, conveying the ecstasy and pain of his love, and Rahul Roy’s tone carries caring enthusiasm. The tears never stop falling.
The bad guys are truly evil, while the good guys are truly heroic. However, the film acknowledges and even indulges in its silliness. Toward the end, a line is spoken to someone who doesn’t understand, and even perhaps to those who have yawned, gasped, and shook their heads throughout the film β βTu Nahi Samjhega, Ye Love Story Haiβ. It’s a fantasy, and it is so magnificent for that β a fairytale in which goodness and evilness exist only in pureness; where love is good, and good triumphs overall.
Conclusion
So that was it guys. Thatβs all I had to talk about βAashiquiβ. After watching it I came to realize that the sequel remembers a lot about this movie. I mean the names, story, characterβs profession, structure match with this one. Didnβt think it before.
