Introduction

Today we’re talking about a special movie. There is no chance that you have not seen it. There’s even a thin chance that you haven’t heard its songs in your childhood or at weddings. This is one of the few times when I will compliment Salman’s acting and his film. The performance in this film is the performance we expect from every Salman Movie. The film that I’m exaggerating is ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’. This film is so popular that every week one channel is telecasting it. No matter what. Not as frequently as Set Max telecasts Suryavansham though. But you get my point.

Iconic dialogues from this movie

Log kehte hai khoobsurat ladkiyan jab jhoot bolti hai … toh aur bhi khoobsurat lagti hai.

English:

People say that when beautiful girls lie … then look more beautiful.

Roop rang mein gori ho chahe kali ho … khushnaseeb woh jija hai jiski saali ho.

English:

Whether she is fair or dark … fortunate is a man who has a sister-in-law.

Zindagi ki khasiyat hai yeh kabhi jhukti nahi … saanse ruk jati hai magar zindagi rukti nahi.

English:

It is the specialty of life that it never bows down … breathe stops but life never stops.

Plot Summary

Prem falls in love with his brother’s sister-in-law, Nisha, when they meet at a family function. But, after the sudden death of Rajesh’s Wife, Nisha is expected to marry him. It leaves the lover in shock. Now they have to figure out something to keep their love from shattering.

The Performance of the Decade and cast turning into a family

The performance is of course outstanding. Madhuri Dixit stood out as Nisha and completely convinced the audience that she is the sweet but naughty girlfriend in this house. The role of Nisha reminds me of Rekha’s Manju in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Khubsoorat. This is the only Salman Khan’s performance I enjoyed. Although I am fascinated by him, I admit that he is not a very good actor. But in this movie, he is as perfect as the cute and lovely Prem. Other actors have also been carefully selected, from Pooja to Tuffy the dog. They gave us the impression of a real family. Since then, many movies have used almost every member of this actor in other family movies.

The other actors seem to really be members of the family. Comedy and friendly interaction between them seem all too common. This is the first time the film has achieved this while achieving success. The effect is that more films follow a nonviolent romantic comedy approach. For our generation, it might look cheesy, but when it first appeared, it broke records everywhere. Prem has a loving relationship with his Bhabi. In this relationship, he respects her as a mother, but he also has a lot of fun with her. The traditional Desi relationship between Bhabi and Dewar. Lo Chali’s latest title track featuring him and his baby is very cute and interesting.

The sense of direction is great. Sooraj Barjatiya is good at romantic movies. The scenes of Prem and Pooja show the value of relations in our culture. The sweet moments between Prem and Nisha are also wonderful because they keep your heart still for a few minutes. The complexities of love, from initial attraction, to love slowly growing in the girl’s heart, deep understanding, are expressed in intricate and realistic detail. This movie has twelve songs, each of which is interesting and fascinating. The sentimentality in each song and the chemical reaction between the characters make people like us want to go out dancing. Songs like “Didi Tera Dewar Deewana ” and “Wah Wah Ramji ” have been permanently integrated into the Hindustani culture. There is nothing groundbreaking in the music but it is very interesting, very attractive, very sweet in some ways. The image is great too. A song should not be omitted from the movie. There isn’t even a two-minute Babur song.

Hum Aapke Hain Kaun Review
Hum Aapke Hain Kaun Review

Our weddings are incomplete without songs from this film. Back in the old days, our weekend used to be incomplete with this film. This film leads the evergreen film list, joining hands with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Hum Saath Saath Hain, and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
