A Horror movie that is horrific, not hilarious
The fact that this movie is actually horrific is astonishing. In the horror movie genre, hardly anyone does it. Pick any horror movie about of the pile and watched it with a bit of skepticism. You will be surprised how lame, and horrific, and hilarious they are. 99% of the horror movies that are there in the world are downright lame. 1%, just one percent of them actually going to make you kick your floor with the jumpscares and sound effects. I am not messing around, especially after watching a big bunch of Bollywood crap in the name of horror. Films like Raz, 1984 and make me sick.
I am very fond of horror movies. That’s why I love Conjuring. I think I have seen this review four times. I want to watch it more, but there is nothing left for me to squeeze out of it (4:00 time is enough to make a film not enjoyable). This film has a good amount of jumpscares. Not your typical jumpscare but the ones that are sure to make you pee in your pants (no! It didn’t make me do it). The story is very gripping, and the screenplay is full of suspense and unusual turns. Enough to make you stick till the end for stop. Although, you would want to cover your eyes.
Veraβs Iconic Expressions
Vera Farmigaβs performance is the benchmark for this movie. I have never seen such tremendous facial expressions and acting from eyes by any actress. For a horror movie expressions of the actors are everything. It can make or break the film. The shock and terror on her face make the horror scenes hundred times more terrifying. I don’t know how but she has perfect timing with the BGM and jumpscare audios. This tells us how excellent the editing is in this film. The visual effects are sport on. The acting of the child actors is outstanding. Just perfect.
Conclusion
Thatβs It, guys. Thatβs what I had to share with you guys. I hope you find the stuff relatable. Tell me what is your favorite horror film.
