Summary
Nandu, a financier who mainly lends for films starts feeling away as soon as he gets to know that cops are coming after him to arrest him for a crime he committed. While trying to get away from the cops, Nandu recollects all the dark chapters in his life he had witnessed since his childhood.
Review
Iravin Nizhal is a fascinating film making feet pulled by Radhakrishnan Parthiban who is always obsessed with trying something unique with films as a craft. The idea and efforts behind making a single shot movie itself boasts tremendous amount of hard work. Parthiban tries a new thing that none had attempted till date in single shot film making – to narrate the story in non-linear manner.
While the character of Nandu visits his past and comes back to the present happenings of his life now and then, it should have made Parthiban as a film maker to literally bake his head to think how to pull this off. The answer he found was to erect a brilliant set and plan camera moments accordingly, literally editing the movie along with its execution.
As impossible as it may sound, Parthiban and his entire crew had done an incredible job on pulling things off for Iravin Nizhal. For the same, Parthiban decided to show the making of Iravin Nizhal during the first half in the cinemas and only post interval, the actual craft with no interruptions till the climax.
Keeping all the hardships aside, coming to the story, Iravin Nizhal has nothing special to offer. It is a very normal plot and it is only the efforts behind executing it as it is makes the film special. Most of the cast include debutantes and none had made a bad or unconvincing way of acting onscreen. A.R. Rahman offers a soul to Iravin Nizhal with his eerie yet devine kind of background score that backs the plot perfectly.
Iravin Nizhal, overall, is something that is more about an experience than the content.

Lets appreciate the efforts pulled off by a filmmaker, who is hell bent on pulling his dream off, showing off his extreme passion towards cinema. Iravin Nizhal is a must watch for movie-enthusiasts.
